ERBIL – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Republican Palace in Ankara on Tuesday to discuss resolving oil disputes between Erbil and Baghdad and other key regional issues.
According to an official statement from the prime minister’s office, the meeting covered the latest developments in Iraq, the region, and Syria.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of resolving the issues between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq’s federal government based on the constitution and removing barriers to the export of oil from the Kurdistan Region.
On Syria, PM Barzani and Erdogan underscored the need to maintain peace, security, and the rights of all communities in the war-torn country.
The discussions reflect ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and address longstanding challenges affecting the region’s stability and economic growth.
