ERBIL —  Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani attended on Thursday the graduation ceremony of Kurdistan University - Erbil, where he delivered a keynote speech addressing the political and development outlook of the Region.

During the ceremony, PM Barzani emphasized that the Kurdistan Region is entering a new phase following the recent parliamentary elections. He noted that the Region is preparing for the formation of a new cabinet to address future challenges, highlighting the importance of enhanced cooperation among institutions. “Education and learning will always remain a top priority,” he stated.

Reflecting on the recent electoral success, he remarked, "The victory in last week’s elections is a renewed mandate entrusted to us by the people to achieve our desired goals. I urge everyone to join in the national effort to rebuild and develop our homeland by leveraging the potential of all educational and academic institutions."

He further emphasized the government's commitment to instilling hope among the people, stating, “As a government, we must fulfill this duty and give hope to our citizens.”

PM Barzani also reaffirmed the continuation of the "MyAccount" project, stating, "The ‘MyAccount’ project remains active, and to date, 700,000 public employees have registered in the system." 

He expressed the government’s strategic vision for the Region, stating, "We aim to become a key provider of food security for the Middle East." 

The ceremony marked a significant moment for the new graduates and reflected the government's dedication to both educational advancement and addressing future challenges with a strong and collaborative vision.
