ERBIL — An explosive ordnance blast on Wednesday left five cleaners wounded in Shaqllawa district of Erbil province.
Speaking to BasNews, Muhsin Qasroki, a spokesperson for Shaqllawa Teaching Hospital, the incident took place today evening in Sabirawa neighborhood where the five individuals were attempting to clean a sewage.
The five cleaners all suffered from multiple injuries. However, they were transferred to the hospital, he noted, adding their health condition is stable.
According to the information BasNews has obtained, the explosive ordnance belonged to the era of the former Iraqi Baath regime, led by Dictator Saddam Hussein.
