ERBIL — A number of rockets on Saturday were fired at an Iraqi base housing Turkish forces in northeast of Mosul city, no casualties were reported.
The four rockets were fired in the direction of Zilikan military base in north Nineveh province, but they fell near Omer Qapchi without causing any casualties, Kurdistan 24 reported.
It was not clear if the rocket attack resulted in any possible material damages.
No group was immediately blamed for the attack, and there was no claim of responsibility yet either, with no further details available.
Turkey has not far commented on today's attack on its forces in Iraq.
The base often comes under such rocket attacks. However, most of the incidents leave no casualties or serious material damage.
Pro-Iran Shia militia groups have previously been accused of being behind the rocket attacks against the Turkish base.
