PHOTOS | Iraqi Man Collecting Pencils for 37 Years

ERBIL — An Iraqi man owns one of the largest collections of pencils in the world after stacking up more than one million pencils for nearly four decades. 

Ali Mandalawi, a resident of Baghdad, told Iraqi news agencies that his obsession with pencils began in 1985 and, since then, he has searched and acquired ordinary and unique pencils wherever he found one. 

According to media reports, Mandalawi’s collection also includes gold-coated pencils or others which have uniq shapes or colors, reaching over $20,000 in price.
