ERBIL — Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dymtro Kuleba and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov will meet this week in Turkey.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu confirmed the meeting in a brief statement on his Twitter account, saying the two diplomats will hold a bilateral meeting during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum scheduled for next Thursday.
This will be the first direct meeting between the Ukrainian and Russian foreign ministers since the outbreak of the war between the two neighbors.
Ukraine and Russia have so far held two rounds of talks, which have led to no solutions but opening humanitarian corridors to allow civilians leave the areas where heavy confrontations are taking place.
