ERBIL — Kurdish leader and the President of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, on Thursday received a British delegation led by Ambassador Mark Bryson-Richardson in Erbil.
The officials reviewed the latest developments in Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and beyond, including the Iraqi parliamentary elections held on October 10, according to a press release from Barzani Headquarters.
“During the meeting, both sides described the election process as successful, and hoped that the results will lead to political stability,” the press release continued.
Barzani and the British envoy also emphasized on the need for meeting the demands of the people and serving the interests of the public after the election results.
Ambassador Bryson-Richardson also reasserted his country’s continued support for the Kurdistan Region and welcomed the ongoing reforms at the Peshmerga Ministry, the press release added.
