ERBIL — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will issue COVID-19 vaccination cards inscribed with international barcodes for the recipients of the jab.
Director of IT department at the KRG’s Health Ministry told BasNews that the new card is designed with a high international technology that makes it almost impossible to forge.
Wherever in the world, authorities can scan the card and get confirmed information on the first and second doses as well as the location where the vaccine was administered, the official added.
BasNews has learned that specialized offices will be opened next week in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, and Halabja to begin issuing the cards for those who have already received the vaccine.
