ERBIL — At least one rocket on Monday night hit one of the facilities belonging to the Iraqi North Gas Company.
According to initial reports, the attack targeted a supplying facility in Kirkuk.
BasNews has learned that the rocket landed in an open area and caused no damage.
This is believed to be in line with the recently growing attacks on power transmissions and poles across Iraq, which is suspected to have been carried out by the Islamic State (IS) to challenge the government in supplying electricity during the extremely high temperatures of summer.
