ERBIL - The Kurdistan Region's Health Ministry said on Sunday that the total number of active COVID-19 cases in the autonomous region is now under 7,000.
The ministry said in a statement that 6,868 individuals took tests for the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, out of which 515 new infections of COVID-19 were detected.
Meanwhile, 382 patients were discharged from hospital and seven others lost their lives.
The new reports took the coronavirus tally to 179,894 in the Kurdistan Region, out of which 168,572 people have recovered and 4,412 others died.
According to the latest updates by the health ministry, a total of 6,910 cases remain active.
