ERBIL - A bomb blast in the Iraqi province of Salahaddin left three militiamen of pro-Iran Hashd al-Shaabi injured on Thursday, a security source said.
The incident took place on a main road southeast of Tikrit, Salahaddin province, where an explosive device went off when a patrol of Hashd al-Shaabi militias was passing by, the source explained in a statement.
Additional forces were deployed to the scene in order to search for other similar devices, the source noted.
Earlier on Tuesday night, three Iraqi soldiers were killed in a bomb explosion that occurred in Diyala province.
Nihad Mohammed, a spokesperson for Diyala Police, confirmed the report to BasNews and pointed out that an improvised explosive device had targeted a convoy of the Iraqi Army in the area of Muradiya Zahawi near Baquba.
