Syria: Nearly 20 Russian Vehicles, 100 Soldiers Head to Ain Issa

ERBIL - A Russian military convoy, including nearly 20 vehicles and over 100 soldiers, headed towards Syria's Ain Issa city, a report said on Thursday.

The convoy was relocated from their military base in al-Qamishli Airport in northeastern Syria to Ain Issa city in Raqqa countryside, Shafaq News cited its correspondent in the region.

"The Russian forces often make military movements between their points in Tal Tamr, al-Qamishli, Ain Issa, and Raqqa," the reporter said.

Other than dozens of soldiers, the convoys usually carry logistics and ammunition, he added.

The Russian troops in Syria are mainly stationed at al-Qamishli International Airport.
