ERBIL - Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Thursday arrived in Athens after concluding his official visit to Belgium.
The Kurdish prime minister is expected to hold meetings with the Greek top officials "to discuss developments in the region," Barzani's office said in a press release.
He will also "discuss strengthening bilateral ties with Greece and investment opportunities in the Kurdistan Region," according to the press release.
Leading a high-level delegation, PM Barzani paid an official visit to Belgium where he held separate meetings with the country's prime minister, Alexander De Croo, and Flemish Minister-President Jan Jambon.
During his meetings, Barzani thanked the European country for its continued support for the Kurdistan Region's Peshmerga forces.
