ERBIL — A roadside bomb blast on Thursday, in south of the disputed Kurdish province of Kirkuk, killed one Iraqi officer, local officials said.
The explosion hit a convoy of the Iraqi Federal Police near Daquq, Luis Khidhir, mayor of the district, told BasNews.
Three other policemen sustained injuries in the blast, he added.
The convoy of the police forces was reportedly patrolling the area in search of IS insurgents who use rural areas to hide and organize attacks.
