Iraq: Two Bomb Blasts Hit US-led Coalition Convoys

One personnel was injured

ERBIL - A couple of separate bomb explosions on Sunday targeted two convoys of the US-led Coalition forces in Iraq, resulting in the wounding of one Iraqi personnel.

An improvised explosive device went off on a highway in Anbar province when a supply convoy of the Global Coalition forces was passing by, Iraqi reports said.

At least one Iraqi security personnel was injured in the roadside bomb attack while two vehicles were damaged.

A similar attack was reported earlier in the morning to have targeted a Coalition convoy in al-Muthanna province without resulting in any casualties or injuries.

Although no groups have ever officially claimed responsibility for such attacks on the coalition forces, Washington believes the Iran-backed militia groups are behind the incidents.
