ERBIL — Iraqi forces have arrested a man believed to be the postman of the Islamic State (IS) in the western areas of Kirkuk, an official statement said.
Iraq’s Department of Military Intelligence said the man was transferring goods and materials between the IS hideouts and sleeper cells in Zab area of Hawija.
The identity of the man and other details of the operation were not disclosed to the media.
The day before, the IS militants attacked the Shia Militias of Hashd al-Shaabi in Daquq area, south of Kirkuk, killing one and wounding two others.
