Latest IS Attack in Kirkuk Leaves One Iraqi Policeman Killed, Four Injured

ERBIL — Islamic State (IS) militants on Tuesday attacked the Iraqi Federal Police forces in Kirkuk, killing one and injuring four, official sources confirmed.

The attack was carried out in the early morning near the village of Maraghon, on the suburb of Daquq, south of Kirkuk, Wahab Mohammed, a police officer from the area, told BasNews.

The militants also targeted Arab Koyi area of Daquq with rockets, Mohammed added.

It came less than 24 hours after the IS militants targeted the Shia militias of Hashd al-Shaabi near Bashir village of Taza Khurmatu, where they killed one Hashd al-Shaabi fighter and injured two others.
