ERBIL - Russian and Turkish forces carried out a new joint patrol in Syria's Kobani on Monday, a war monitor has revealed.
"The patrol, consisting of eight Russian and Turkish vehicles, set off from the village of Ghraib bordering Turkey, and roamed the villages and areas of Karbnav, Kosek, Alishar, Jom Ali, Kurtek, Koubik Satin, Tirry, Tel Hajib, Kabajiq Saghir, Tillk, Boztebeh, Qara Mogh, Jaishan, all the way to the village of Kharabisan Fouqani," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
According to the Britain-based monitoring group, this was the third patrol by the forces of the two countries in the region during April.
After the conclusion of Monday's patrol, "the Turkish vehicles returned to the border gate near the village of Ghraib, east of Ain al-Arab, and Russian vehicles returned to their base in the “Radio area”, west of Ain al-Arab (Kobani)."
