ERBIL - At least three rockets were fired at an Iraqi military base housing the US forces in the capital Baghdad on Thursday night, reports said.
The rockets reportedly landed in the vicinity of Camp Victoria and Baghdad International Airport, without resulting in any casualties or injuries, Iraqi reports said.
The launchpad has also been found in al-Jihad district while the remains of one of the rockets was seen at the Baghdad Airport.
No sides or groups were immediately blamed for the rocket attack, but Washington often accuses Iran-backed militia groups of being behind such incidents targeting the US and Global Coalition forces in Iraq.
Rocket attacks and roadside bombs against the foreign forces in Iraq have repeatedly been reported lately with no one officially arrested yet.
