Russian Deputy Prime Minister in Baghdad to Meet with Iraqi Leaders

ERBIL — The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Yury Borisov, on Wednesday evening arrived in Baghdad, Iraqi Foreign Ministry said.

Borisov is scheduled to meet with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein today. He will later meet with the Iraqi president, prime minister, and parliament speaker.

He is heading the Russian delegation of the Iraqi-Russian Joint Committee.

Details of the agenda of his meeting was not revealed, but bilateral ties and the political, economic, and security developments are expected to be reviewed.
