ERBIL - A tribal fight in the Iraqi province of Dhi Qar on Tuesday resulted in the killing of one person and wounding of three others, a security source reported.
The armed confrontation broke out in al-Gharaf district, north of Nasiriya, where at least one fighter was killed and three others were injured, the source told Shafaq News.
Security forces soon arrived at the scene and arrested at least six people involved in the armed conflict, he added.
Such clashes often erupt among the tribes in various areas of Iraq. According to the available updates, more than 500 people were either killed or wounded due to tribal fights in Basra during 2019 alone.
