ERBIL - At least two separate bomb blasts targeted convoys carrying logistical supplies for the US-led Coalition forces in Iraq, a statement said on Wednesday.
Iraq's Security Media Cell said in a statement that an explosive device went off on Wednesday evening while a coalition convoy was passing by near the Sumer Bridge area of Babil province.
Earlier in the morning, a similar bombing was reported on a highway in Nasiriya city, Dhi Qar province, hitting a convoy of the Global Coalition forces.
None of the bomb attacks resulted in any casualties or injuries, according to the statement, with no claims of responsibility either.
Militia groups linked to Iran are often blamed by Washington for being behind the bomb attacks on the Coalition forces.
