ERBIL — The trilateral summit between the leaders of Iraq, Egypt, and Jordan has been once again postponed, said the Iraqi government.
A spokesperson for the Council of Ministers in Baghdad confirmed in a statement that the summit will not be held on 8th April as it had been scheduled.
He did not mention the reason or the new timetable.
The first time it was put off due to a train accident in Egypt which left 19 people killed and many more injured.
Media reports stated that this time the summit was postponed due to the developments in Jordan, where the government has detained several officials for security concerns threatening the kingdom.
