Kadhimi Agrees on Saudi, UAE Investment Projects in Iraq: Report

ERBIL - Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi has agreed with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on investment projects in his country, a report said on Tuesday.

Reuters cited a statement by Saudi state news agency (SPA) as pointing out that the investment projects, which were discussed during Kadhimi's visit to the two countries, worth over $6 billion.

The Iraqi premier paid an official visit to Saudi Arabia earlier last week and the UAE on Sunday.

Baghdad and Riyadh have repeatedly agreed to establish a joint fund, with an estimated capital of $3 billion, as part of Saudi Arabia's contribution in promoting investment in Iraq's economic fields.
