ERBIL - Israel opened its embassy in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, on Sunday, a statement has confirmed.
Reuters cited a statement by the Israeli Foreign Ministry as saying that this came after the UAE cabinet approved the formation of an embassy in Tel Aviv.
Earlier on Saturday, Israeli political sources revealed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit the UAE and Bahrain on February 9 to discuss the efforts to normalize the relations between the sides.
The UAE and Bahrain are among a number of Arab countries that have decided to normalize their relations with Israel.
