ERBIL - Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar has landed in Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan Region, where he is expected to meet with the top Kurdish officials.
The Turkish minister arrived in Baghdad earlier the day and held meetings with various leaders.
He met with Iraqi President Barham Salih, Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, Defense Minister Jouma Anad and Interior Minister Othman al-Ghanmi, during which military cooperations between Iraq and Turkey were discussed.
Akar will hold separate meetings with Kurdistan Region top leaders in Erbil on Tuesday, according to the information BasNews has learned.
