ERBIL — The Iraqi parliament is expected to conclude the vote on the 2021 budget bill by the beginning of March, a Kurdish member of the Iraqi parliament said.
The bill has already been submitted by the government to the legislature, and there have been two readings into the bill. However, there are points of disputes likely to appear during the upcoming sittings.
MP Vian Sabri from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) told BasNews that the parliament presidency is also continuing the discussions on the bill with the factions separately to prepare the vote for early March.
A delegation from the KDP faction at the parliament is currently meeting with Iraqi factions to convince them on passing the article related to the Kurdistan Region’s budget share.
