One Suspected Case of Mutant COVID-19 Reported in Duhok

ERBIL - A health official revealed on Wednesday that a suspected case of mutant coronavirus has been found in Kurdistan Region's Duhok province.

Speaking to BasNews, Dr. Hakar Mustafa, a local health official, pointed out that at least one person had recently returned to Duhok from the United Kingdom, who was suspected to have contracted the variant COVID-19.

He noted that the suspect had a few symptoms of the new mutant coronavirus.

However, Mustafa said that the testing is underway with the result to be announced later.
