ERBIL — Iraqi security forces on Thursday captured four members of the Islamic State (IS) in Hawija, southwest of Kirkuk province.
Ahmed Khurshid, a member of security committee of Hawija Mayoral Council, confirmed the report and said the four suspects were arrested with a court warrant in separate raids.
The operation was conducted by Iraq’s intelligence service and federal police, based on previous information about the suspects who have participated in multiple attacks against the Iraqi security forces, Khurshid added.
