Iraq’s Defense Minister to Visit Moscow

ERBIL — Iraq’s Defense Minister Jumaa Adnan is set to visit Russia in the near future to discuss closer military cooperations.

Following his official visit to Moscow earlier this week, Fuad Hussein, the Foreign Minister of Iraq, said that Baghdad is still in need of international community’s military support to stabilize the country.

He revealed that the defense minister Adnan would soon visit Russia to discuss Russia’s military support to Iraq.

According to the foreign minister, over a dozen memorandum of understandings were discussed during his visit to Moscow, and they are expected to be signed during the next meeting between the Russian and Iraqi officials.
