COVID-19: Iran Reports over 12,000 New Cases

ERBIL - Iran's Health Ministry said on Monday that it had detected more than 12,000 infections of COVID-19 within the past day.

The coronavirus tally reaches 866,821 as 12,460 other people have tested positive for the coronavirus since yesterday, Sima Lari, a spokesperson for the ministry, told state TV.

The novel virus has also taken the lives of 453 other individuals, with which the death toll spikes to 45,255, she added, noting that at least 610,406 patients have recovered since February.
