ERBIL - Turkish forces on Monday targeted the areas held by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Raqqa with rockets, a war monitor revealed.
The Turkish forces on Monday afternoon fired rockets at "Ain Issa checkpoint, Ain Issa camp and the village in rural area north of Raqqa. No casualties have been reported," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
"Turkish forces continue their rocket attacks on SDF-held areas in northern countryside of Raqqa. Turkish artillery targeted, this afternoon, areas of Ain Issa area north of Raqqa."
According to the Britain-based monitoring group, at least two members of the Internal Security “Asayish” were injured due to the bombardments on Ain Issa checkpoint.
Similar attacks were reported on Sunday by the Turkish forces and Ankara-backed Syrian rebels in the same province, SOHR added.
