ERBIL - For the second day in a row, Iraq's Health Ministry said on Sunday that it had recorded more recoveries from the coronavirus than infections.
Within the past 24 hours, at least 1,766 new cases have been confirmed, while 2,412 patients were discharged from the hospital, the ministry explained in a statement.
It also noted that the death toll rose by 33 to 11,958.
With the new reports, the total number of coronavirus cases registered since February spiked to 535,321, from which 465,452 patients have recovered.
