ERBIL - The Islamic State (IS) jihadists killed a tribal chief (Sheikh) and four of his family members in the Iraqi province of Diyala, reports said on Wednesday.
The incident took place in the village of Khailaniya, in Miqdadiya town of Diyala province, on Tuesday evening, where the militants attacked Bani Kaab tribe, killing the Sheikh and four of his family members.
Iraqi reports said that at least two others were also injured in the attack.
MP Human al-Tamimi, from Diyala province, argued in a statement that Raad al-Jabouri, the commander of Diyala Operations, is responsible for the death of the tribal chief by the jihadists.
He claimed that the Iraqi commander failed to fulfill his duty due to other things "related to his personal interests."
