ERBIL - The Kurdistan National Council of Syria (ENKS) has strongly denounced Saturday's attack on the representation office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in Baghdad.
Earlier on Saturday morning, dozens of supporters of the pro-Iran Hashd al-Shaabi raided the KDP's 5th office in Baghdad and set both the facility, as well as the Kurdistan flag, on fire for unclarified reasons.
The ENKS pointed out that the burning of the KDP office and Kurdistan flag " is a step against the people of Kurdistan," according to Kurdistan 24.
The Syrian Kurdish party further noted that Saturday's attack comes while Erbil and Baghdad have intensified their efforts to resolve all prolonged disputes between the two sides.
It additionally called on the federal government of Iraq to bring the perpetrators to justice.
