ERBIL - At least 15 people have been arrested over Saturday's attack on the representation office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in capital Baghdad, who also burned the Kurdistan flag.
A great number of pro-Iran Hashd al-Shaabi's supporters on Saturday burned down the 5th office of the KDP and the Kurdistan flag in the capital Baghdad.
Iraqi PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi, who is also Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, chaired an emergency meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security to discuss the attack.
"The council discussed the attack on the headquarters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party," a statement by Kadhimi's office said.
"The council condemned this act and decided to open an investigation into the incident headed by the National Security Adviser," the statement added.
According to the statement, at least 15 individuals have been arrested who were accused of being behind the attack on the KDP office in Baghdad.
