Eight People Found Dead in Salahaddin

They had been abducted previously

ERBIL - Iraqi security forces on Saturday found the bodies of eight people in the province of Salahaddin who had previously been kidnapped.

Jamal Okab, a spokesperson for Salahaddin governor, told BasNews that the bodies were found in the area of Farhaniya of Balad district.

"These people had been kidnapped by an unknown armed group a while ago and they were found today [Saturday]," he said.

He noted that it was not clear if they were abducted by the Islamic State (IS) jihadists.

Kurdistan 24 cited a statement by the Iraqi security officials as saying that four policemen with four civilians were abducted on Saturday morning by an unidentified group of armed men.
