Turkish Soldier Killed in Clash with PKK

ERBIL — A Turkish soldier was killed on Saturday, October 10, in a fire exchange with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) fighters in the east of the country.

The clash took place in the rural areas of Dogubeyazit district, Agri province, Turkish media cited security sources.

At least one more soldier was rushed to the hospital for severe injuries he suffered during the confrontation.

The Turkish sources did not mention any group, but it was clear that the army has been conducting operations in the regions as part of its campaign against the PKK.
