Four Iraqi Policemen Killed by IS Militants in Kirkuk

ERBIL — Islamic State (IS) militants attacked Iraqi federal police forces on Monday night in Kirkuk province, killing at least four policemen.

The attack took place near Nakar village of Hawija, southwest of Kirkuk province, Hawija police chief, Fattah Mahmoud, told BasNews.

Three other policemen were wounded while fighting to ward off the IS attack, Mahmoud added.

IS casualties were not know and the security forces have increased its personnel in the area to search for the jihadists.
