Iraq Reports over 4,700 New COVID-19 Cases

ERBIL - Iraq's Ministry of Health said on Tuesday that it had detected more than 4,700 new infections of coronavirus within 24 hours.

At least 4,724 people have tested positive for COVID-19 across Iraq since yesterday, while 4,028 others were discharged from the hospital after they recovered from the novel virus, the ministry said.

The coronavirus has also taken the lives of 70 other individuals in Iraq over the past day.

The COVID-19 tally now stands at 358,290, from which 288,812 people have recovered and 8,122 lost their lives.
