ERBIL - A delegation from the Kurdistan Region parliament will visit Baghdad in the near future for talks on the areas disputed between Erbil and Baghdad.
Speaking to BasNews, MP Robina Aziz Tiari pointed out that they will hold talks with officials from the federal government on Arabization in the disputed areas.
She noted that there have been attempts for arabizing the Kurdish areas.
"The goal of the visit is to ask the federal government to fulfill its legal and constitutional duty to, cooperatively with the Kurdistan Regional Government and in accordance with the Constitution, stop the Arabization and resolve the issue of those areas," the lawmaker explained.
