ERBIL — At least 34 Kurds were executed in Iran during the first half of the year, a monitoring group said.
Four of them were given death penalties for political activities and membership in Kurdish opposition parties, according Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.
The monitoring group also noted that two of the executed people were sentenced to death for crimes committed under the age of 18.
The majority of them, according to Hengaw, were convicted of involvement in drug-related cases.
