ERBIL - Iranian border guards on Wednesday left a Kurdish shepherd wounded in the mountainous areas of Baneh city, a human rights group revealed.
According to a report by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident took place in Choman area of Baneh city on Wednesday morning, where the Iranian forces opened fire at the shepherd.
He was severely injured, Hengaw agency said, identifying the victim as Kaiwan Qadirpour.
In the past six months, at least four Kurdish shepherds have been killed and three others were injured by the Iranian border guards, the monitor concluded.
