COVID-19: Iran Confirms over 3,000 New Cases

ERBIL - Iran said on Sunday that it had registered more than 3,000 new coronavirus cases, as the country is facing a new wave of the pandemic.

While 3,097 people have tested positive for COVID-19 across Iran since yesterday, at least 183 others lost their lives, Sima Lari, a spokesperson for the health ministry, told reporters.

Iran has confirmed a total of 422,140 since the outbreak of the novel virus in the country, out of which 359,570 patients recovered, while 24,301 others died.
