ERBIL - A Turkish drone on Sunday night targeted a vehicle in the Yezidi majority populated region of Sinjar, Iraqi military said in a statement.
The vehicle, reportedly belonging to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) was hit near the Sharaf al-Din shrine, Iraq's Security Media Cell said in a statement.
According to the press release, at least three PKK fighters were killed in the airstrike.
Ankara has previously carried out similar air raids against the PKK, as it views the Kurdish armed group as a "terrorist organisation" and there is a decades-long military confrontation between the two sides over the Kurdish question in Turkey.
