ERBIL - Over the past 24 hours, nearly 4,000 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across Iraq since yesterday, the health ministry reported on Saturday.
At least 3,907 people tested positive for coronavirus in Iraq, including those confirmed in the Kurdistan Region, taking the tally to 315,597, the health ministry explained in a statement.
During the same period of time, the death toll rose to 8,491 after the novel vrius claimed the lives of 83 other people.
According to the latest updates by the health ministry, a total of 249,539 patients have so far recovered from COVID-19 since February.
