Syrian Kurdish Parties Close to Concrete Agreement: Official

ERBIL - The Kurdistan National Council of Syria (ENKS) and the Democratic Union Party (PYD) are close to reach a concrete agreement, about which the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is not happy.

Speaking to BasNews, Kawa Azizi, a member of the ENKS, pointed out that negotiations with the PYD are ongoing and that positive steps have been taken towards a concrete agreement between the two sides.

He criticized Doran Kalkan, a PKK official, who had noted that "it is important" for the Syrian Democratic Council to reach an agreement with the Syrian regime of Bashar Assad and Arabs.

Azizi argued that such moves are not right to be made unless the Kurds are first unified in Syria, revealing that ENKS's condition to reach an agreement with the PYD is to stop PKK's interventions in the Syrian Kurdistan.
