ERBIL - Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has condemned the killing of a Kurdish family in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
The security forces in the Kurdistan Region's capital city announced on Wednesday evening the capture of a man who confessed to have slaughtered Dara Raoof, a Kurdish doctor in Baghdad, along with his wife and daughter, earlier on September 14.
"I strongly condemn this crime," Barzani said in a statement released by his office.
The Kurdish premier also commended the security forces to have managed the capturing of the main suspect in such a short period of time.
"My condolences to the family and friends of the late Dara Raouf, his wife Alia and daughter Shilan, who were brutally murdered in their home in Baghdad. I strongly condemn this crime and thank the security service in Erbil who apprehended the perpetrator. They make us proud," Barzani wrote on Twitter.
