ERBIL — Over 750 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Kurdistan Region within the past 24 hours only, KRG’s health ministry said on Wednesday.
Out of 5,920 COVID-19 tests, 306 in Duhok, 220 in Sulaymaniyah, 208 in Erbil, and 20 in Halabja came out positive, bringing the total number of infections since the beginning of the outbreak in Kurdistan to 38,661.
The ministry also confirmed that 26 people had lost their lives due to the novel virus. The over all death toll now stands at 1,417.
More than 12,700 patients are still under treatment as active cases, whereas over 24,500 have recovered.
