Diyala: Five Civilians Killed, Injured in IS Attack

ERBIL - As a result of an attack carried out by the insurgents of the Islamic State (IS) in the Iraqi province of Diyala on Sunday night, at least five civilians were either killed or wounded.

Confirming to BasNews, Head of Sileman Bag Police Mahdi Hassan pointed out that the jihadists raided Hitawin village located between Uzem and Amirli towns where two civilians were killed and three others were wounded.

The militants managed to escape the scene before the security forces could arrive at the scene, according to the official.
